Lauvkar Potato

Lauvkar potato variety is mainly grown in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka regions of India. It is large and round in shape with fleet eyes. It has white flesh and the texture of this potato is mealy. It has good flavours making it suitable for processing chips, wafers, French fries, etc. It is also utilized in cooking, boiling and baking. It is a very good keeper of weight which means the weight loss for this variety is 10-12% of the total weight for 75 days of storage.
